With more than 20 years of professional culinary experience and extensive knowledge of Hartford’s restaurant scene, Ristorante Trieste’s Chef Robert Korpita creates the fascinating cuisine that has been receiving rave reviews from the locals and tourists since the restaurant’s opening in 2004. Chef Korpita boasts both award-winning and signature desserts and entrees which include the Chocolate Trieste dessert and the Petto Di Pollo Al Gismonda entrée.Chef Korpita spent most of his culinary career working under the Owner/Chef Paolo Mihelj of Casa Mia, a family-owned restaurant located in the section of Hartford known as “The Little Italy of CT.” Natives of Trieste, Italy, Chef Paolo along with his mother and sister shared their traditional recipes, challenged, and cultivated Korpita through practical, hands-on experience, and personal guidance.
